Three injured in crash on Independence Blvd. in Bedford

BEDFORD, Va. (WFXR)– The Bedford Fire Department reports three people were injured in a high-speed crash on Independence Blvd on Thursday, March 28.

Chief Stone with the Bedford Fire Department says five vehicles were involved in the high-speed collision, with three cars sustaining heavy damage.

One vehicle had a side blowout to extract a passenger entrapped inside.

The fire department reported three injuries. Two patients were taken to local hospitals, with one transported to Roanoke Carilion Hospital in critical condition.

The Bedford Police Department is investigating the scene.
