Three homeless after fire

Jan. 30—VALDOSTA — Three people were left homeless by a house fire Monday in Valdosta.

Around 9:03 p.m., firefighters headed to a blaze at 2300 Camden Circle, a Valdosta Fire Department statement said. Heavy smoke and flames were found coming from a bedroom window.

The fire was soon under control and everyone in the house had safely escaped, the statement said. The Red Cross helped three people who were displaced, and one occupant was checked for possible smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is being probed. Valdosta police and EMTs assisted on scene.
