A Russian missile attack on Odesa has left 20 people injured and three dead, regional governor Oleg Kiper said on April 29.

Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov confirmed the casualty figures.

“As it stands, the death toll as a result of the attack has risen to three; my sincere condolences to the victims’ families,” said Trukhanov.

The ballistic missile attack damaged residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in the city.

Public broadcaster Suspilne also published photos of the aftermath of the Russian strike, including images of a fire at the “Kivalov's Castle” — seaside property, nominally owned by the Odesa Law Academy, but widely known to be the summer residence of Serhii Kivalov. He is the academy’s president and former Ukrainian MP.
