Three civilians injured in Russian shelling and missile attacks on frontline Kherson and Donetsk oblasts

Ukrainian authorities reported Russian artillery and missile attacks in the southern Kherson and eastern Donetsk oblasts on the morning of Mar. 3.

A 65-year-old man was injured by shrapnel in a series of Russian artillery strikes on Kherson’s Korabelny district from the occupied left bank of the Dnipro River, the city's Military Administration head, Roman Mrochko, wrote on Telegram.

He reported at least five direct hits on residential buildings, which damaged apartments, roofs, and kiosks.

The same morning, two women, aged 24 and 52, received shrapnel wounds resulting from an Iskander missile strike on Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, around 6:30 a.m. EET, according to the Regional Rrosecutor's Office's morning Telegram post.

Several residential buildings were in the epicenter of the blast zone.

Earlier in the day, local military administrations also reported enemy missile strikes on Dnipro and Myrnohrad, Donetsk Oblast, injuring three people.

Russia also attacked Dnipro with a missile during the same night. A fire broke out at the site of the attack. No casualties were reported by the head of the Dnipro Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak.

"It's been a tough night for the Dnipro Oblast,” he wrote.

“But there are no casualties and this is the most important thing. After midnight, the Russians launched a missile attack on Dnipro. A fire broke out at the site of the attack. The fire was extinguished by the emergency service."

The consequences of the attacks are currently being established.

In Odesa, during the Mar. 2 attack, a Russian drone hit a nine-story building, destroying one of the entrances. So far, ten people have been reported dead, including children. Rescue efforts are underway as four more people are believed to be trapped under the rubble.
