Three children among five wounded in Russian missile attack on Kharkiv school
A Russian missile attack hit the grounds of a school in Kharkiv, leaving five people wounded, including two boys, ages 13 and 15. Kharkiv Governor Oleh Synehubov reported the details on Telegram on May 8.
Three children aged 13 and 15, a 55-year-old man, and an 80-year-old woman were injured, stated Oleh Synehubov.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that one of the injured children is in serious condition, based on preliminary information.
Earlier, multiple explosions were heard in Kharkiv and its suburbs. The Ukrainian Air Force alerted about a missile threat to the Oblast.

Lately, Russia has intensified its attacks on Kharkiv and the Oblast. Russian forces carried out missile strikes on Kharkiv's Saltivskyi district overnight on April 27. The attack aimed at the city's regional psychiatric hospital and a medical complex.

"Families with children evacuated from 47 frontline settlements in Kharkiv Oblast," said Synehubov.
"Russia now targets populated areas previously spared a month ago."
"The Russians have changed tactics and are now launching "double-tap" strikes on the same location, targeting Ukrainian emergency services," he said.
American media reports that Russia has intensified its strikes on Kharkiv with the intention of transforming the city into an uninhabitable "gray zone" according to the Kremlin's objectives.
