Three arrested for alleged retail theft at Walmart

HAZLE TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police report that eight people were arrested after being accused of retail thefts at a Walmart in Luzerne County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, troopers responded to Walmart in Hazle Township for separate retail theft incidents throughout April.

On April 19 around 10:00 p.m., troopers were called for a reported retail theft where two people, a 33-year-old man and a woman from Freeland failed to scan items and hide products, PSP stated.

Then the next day on April 20 around 3:30 p.m., troopers say a 62-year-old man from White Haven was using the self-checkout aisle and did not scan various food products.

All three suspects were charged through the district court.
