THP: Pedestrian injured after being struck by vehicle in Carter County

STONEY CREEK, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) reports that a pedestrian was injured Friday night after he was struck by a vehicle while walking in the roadway in Carter County.

According to a crash report from the THP, the incident occurred around 11:35 p.m. Friday near the 600 block of State Highway 91 in the Stoney Creek area. The report said a vehicle was traveling on Highway 91 in the outside lane when it struck a pedestrian who was walking in the lane.

The THP said the pedestrian was injured, but the extent of the injuries was not specified.
