Thousands without power as severe weather moves through Tampa Bay

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Thousands across the Tampa Bay area are without power as severe weather moves across the region.

Below is a list of outages reported by local power companies.

Tampa Electric Company

As of 5 p.m. 867 customers have reported power outages.

If you see a down power line or open transformer, call 813-223-0800 or 1-888-223-0800. You can also report gas leaks by calling 1-877-TECO-PGS (1-877-832-6747).

Peace River Electric

The following counties have reported outages:

  • Polk County: 1 customer

  • Sarasota County: 65 customers

  • Manatee County: 31 customers

  • Polk County: 3 customers
