Remember back in early March when that BBC dad video went massively viral? In the clip, political science professor Robert Kelly was interrupted by his adorable kids, 4-year-old Marion and 8-month-old James, while being interviewed live on-air before his wife swooped in to remove them.

The 44-second video inspired laughter, countless memes and parodies, and a few dozen hot-takes' of grossly misplaced outrage. And now, it's even inspired an animated series.

On April 17, Hans House Productions released the first episode of "The Adventure of Mina and Jack," a YouTube cartoon series geared towards kids. According to its press release, "The Adventures of Mina & Jack follows the globe-trotting misadventures of a precocious young girl named Mina, and her pesky baby brother Jack, as they help their dad, a UN official, out of various jams." The show was created by Lauren Martin and Jarryd Mandy, a Brooklyn, New York couple, who originally envisioned the idea as a a children's book after "watching [the viral video] upwards of a hundred times."

While the names of the family and the nature of the dad's job have been changed for the show, the precociousness of pink-spectacled Marion Kelly (the Internet's latest obsession) is still the driving force. It's also pretty damn cute in its own right - the first episode finds Mina and a non-speaking baby Jack singlehandedly catching a gold thief for their stressed dad during a work trip to North Africa. Elephant rides and Rugrats-style word misunderstandings and mispronunciations abound.

Kelly and his family, for their part, absolutely loved the idea. Kelly even shared a link to it on Twitter the day it was released. "Funny take-off of our viral video. I look suitably dorky," he said of the series.

Martin told Romper that The Adventures of Mina and Jack is "currently in talks to secure a network contract." I can easily see this on Nick, Jr. or something - the world definitely needs more Marion Kelly in whatever form we can get her.
