Thomson High, Lincoln High Schools delaying graduation start times

McDUFFIE AND LINCOLN COUNTIES (WJBF) – Two high school graduation ceremonies have been delayed due to inclement weather.

According to the McDuffie County School System, the storm system moving through the area damaged the stage and cut power to the Brickyard football stadium, and administrators say the ceremony is set to begin at 8:30 P.M. with doors to open at 8 P.M. at Thomson High School.

In Lincoln County, Lincoln County School administrators say that the Lincoln High School graduation ceremony has been delayed until the rain clears with school officials saying they believe the rain may clear between 8:15 and 8:30 P.M.
