It’s Friday, and that means it’s time to round up everything that’s happening in the world of travel. Here are the things we are all talking about right now.

Dreams Resorts & Spas is giving back with “Changing lives…one Dream at a time!,” a program designed to say thank you to the women taking care of injured U.S. veterans. The family-friendly brand teamed up with a group of wounded warriors to surprise their mothers with well-deserved vacations to its award-winning resort destinations. The campaign is captured in a series of videos, telling the stories of the vets and their moms. (You can already see Tyler & Pam’s story.) Throughout the holiday season, the brand is also launching a nomination-based giveaway campaign that will look to reward other mighty moms – military and beyond. Winners will be chosen by the end of the year, and select stories will be captured on video and shared on social media.

What could be better than seeing some of Princess Di’s most iconic dresses in London. Now you’ll have your chance. The Stafford London will be exhibiting a rare collection of dresses belonging to the late Princess of Wales. From November 17-23, two iconic dresses worn by Princess Diana, including a dress designed by Zandra Rhodes and another dress designed by Catherine Walker, will be displayed in the lobby before they are sent to Los Angeles to be auctioned by Julien’s Auctions of Beverly Hills.

This year you can spend Thanksgiving where it all started in Plymouth, Mass. The Mirbeau Inn & Spa at the Pinehills is whipping up a holiday feast. On Thursday, Nov. 27 from 12-5 p.m. in The Bistro & Wine Bar and Henri-Marie, Executive Chef Stephen Coe will pay homage to the holiday’s traditional dishes, while adding his own French-inspired twist. The Thanksgiving menu includes a variety of soups, salads, appetizers and entrees, including a Farm Fresh Beet Salad, succulent Nantucket Scallops, and Dijon-Crusted Local Lamb Rack. The holiday decadence will continue with several dessert options. There will also be a special children’s menu which includes selections from Butternut Squash Soup and Turkey Fingers, to housemade S’mores.

Charming Top Chef alum Fabio Viviani has opened his first restaurant in Miami, Siena Tavern Miami. The spot is inspired by Italian cafes, and the menu includes everything from crudo to homemade pizza to specialty cocktails.

Bars

The polar vortex may be on its way to N.Y.C., but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the rooftop bar. Two new all-season rooftop hotel bars opened Nov. 13: Cloud Social at the New York Manhattan Hotel, and VU46 The Hotel @ Times Square. Both venues are open year-round and have enclosed indoor and heated outdoor seating. Plus, Gansevoort Park Avenue also recently completed a major design overhaul of its all-season rooftop, offering a warm, inviting atmosphere - just in time for winter!
