Third suspect arrested in 2023 Verdery Street murder
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – A third suspect has been arrested in the 2023 death of an Augusta man.
The incident happened on November 16, 2023 at the intersection Verdery Street and Oak Street, where 32-year-old Myron Garnett was found with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene by the Coroner’s Office at 11:43 P.M.
On Thursday, May 16, 19-year-old Cameron Williams was arrested on Murder charges by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Fugitive Task Force in connection with the case.
Previously, 30-year-old Shakeichia Jackson was arrested and charged with Murder on November 17, 2023, followed by 20-year-old Anthony Williams on December 6, also charged with Murder.
