Easter comes early this weekend with egg hunts in the park, take in a Hitchcock classic with "The 39 Steps," raffle for The Family Center or learn about farm life at the Co-op.

1. Easter events in Maury County

Celebrate Easter a little early this weekend with egg hunts in the park, Easter-themed parties downtown and more.

Destiny Church will host its Easter at The Park starting at 11 a.m. at Maury County Park, which is set to be a fun-filled family-friendly day. Activities will include an Easter egg hunt, bike giveaways, inflatables and more.

Columbia Parks and Recreation will host its annual Operation: EGG hunt at Woodland Park, 821 W. 9th St. starting at 9 a.m. Saturday. The hunt will feature two areas of exploration for novices and advanced gatherers.

To round out this weekend's Easter events, aMuse'Um Children's Museum, 123 W. 7th St., will host its Hoppening Easter Party starting at 1 p.m. Sunday. Activities will include story time, Easter treats, crafts and photos with the Easter Bunny.

Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members. The aMuse'um event is currently sold out, but families can join the waitlist by emailing kids@amuseumcolumbia.com.

2. Watershed presents 'The 39 Steps'

Step into the world of one of Alfred Hitchcock's early masterpieces as Watershed Public Theatre presents its production of "The 39 Steps."

The fast-paced whodunit, which features 150 characters all played by a cast of four, will have three performances this weekend starting at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with a 3 p.m. matinee Sunday.

Performances will be at Columbia State Community College's Cherry Theater, 1665 Hampshire Pike.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students, children and $18 for seniors, and are available for purchase at www.WatershedPublicTheatre.org. For more information, call (931) 797-6551.

3. The Family Center 2024 Reverse Raffle

The Family Center will host its 2024 Reverse Raffle starting at 6 p.m. Saturday at The Memorial Building.

The Family Center will host this year's Reverse Raffle to raise money for the nonprofit's continued efforts in supporting local families in need.

The event, which will take place at the Memorial Building, 308 W. 7th St., will start at 6 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $25 ($28\.52 if purchased online) and can be accessed at www.EventBrite.com.

The 2024 Reverse Raffle will include dinner, drinks, dancing, as well as the chance to win $2,000. There will also be a silent auction and additional door prize giveaways.

4. Garden & Chicken Day at the Co-op

The United Farm & Co-op will host its first Garden & Chicken Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The United Farm & Home Co-op, 975 Riverview Lane, will celebrate its first Garden & Chicken Day with local farmers, fresh food and more.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, featuring items from local farmers such as The Farm & Fiddle, Kalmbach Feeds and Master Gardners, who will give presentations and talks about farm-to-table life.

There will also be prize giveaways, food trucks and many discounts to customers, including 15% off chicks.

5. Live entertainment

King Cotton Trio will perform at Puckett's in downtown Columbia starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Yonder Grove will perform at McCreary's Irish Pub & Eatery, 814 S. Main St., starting at 7 p.m. Friday.

Krystal King will perform at Grinder's Switch Winery, 510 N. Garden St., starting at 6 p.m. Friday.

Not Quite Right will perform at Fozzy's Bar & Grill, 150 Stephen P. Yokich Parkway in Spring Hill, starting at 8 p.m. Friday.

Forever Abbey Road Beatles Experience will perform at The Mulehouse, 812 S. High St., starting at 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are available at www.TheMulehouse.com.
