Few things make us happier than spending our weekends doing exactly what we want to do. Whether you’re looking for a more laid-back vibe or are ready to stay out all night, New York City has it all! Not sure what to do this weekend? We have you covered.

EAT IT UP

SATISFY YOUR SWEET TOOTH AT THE DESSERT GOALS FEST (10/20 and 10/21)

If you have a sweet tooth, make an appointment with your dentist now because Dessert Goals fest is in town! More than 20 vendors, including Stuffed Ice Cream, 2 Dough Boyz, and Keki Modern Cakes, gather to bring you the greatest desserts out there. It’s totally worth the trip to Sound River Studios in Long Island City! Snag a ticket and you’ll get free dessert and candy (others you’ll have to purchase separately). Find more info here.

PERFECTLY PAIR SMOOTH CHOCOLATE WITH COFFEE (until 10/31)

If you’ve never tried Neuhaus Belgian Chocolate before, it’s time you change that. At the company’s Madison Avenue flagship shop, you can receive a complimentary pairing of Neuhaus’ six new chocolate pralines with coffee. With fillings like caramel, coffee ganache, and raspberry white chocolate, you’re bound to find a favorite! Can’t make it to that location? Stop at any Neuhaus shop and you can take home a complimentary tasting flight. No tricks here, all treats through the end of October.

GRAB A BOOZY BAILEYS IRISH CREAM SUNDAE (until 11/30)

Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur has partnered with OddFellows Ice Cream Co. to bring you a boozy sundae! The dessert features OddFellows’ espresso soft serve swirled with Baileys. It’s drizzled with Baileys-infused caramel and topped with coffee soil and chocolate wafer pearls. Are you drooling yet? Grab one for yourself at OddFellow’s new Coffee & Cream shop in Nolita on East Houston Street.

TASTE EVERY TYPE OF FOOD AT SMORGASBURG (10/20 and 10/21)

Get excited to eat the weekend away at Smorgasburg! Taking place in Williamsburg on Saturdays and Prospect Park on Sundays, you’ll never get bored of the food vendors. From elaborate entrees to delectable desserts, no one leaves without an empty stomach.

TRY ONE-OF-A-KIND FOODS AT QUEENS NIGHT MARKET (Saturdays through 10/27)

Every Saturday through Oct. 27, the Queens Night Market will be serving foods for every palette from 6 p.m. to midnight. The market celebrates cultural diversity, and their lengthy list of vendors reflects that. We hope you’re hungry for plenty of noodles, ceviche, empanadas, Japanese rice flour crepes, jerk chicken, and so much more. Oh, and there’s also a beer and wine section. Does it get any better? Head to Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens this Saturday.

DRINK IT UP

HAVE A PINK DRINK TO BENEFIT BREAST CANCER AWARENESS (until 10/31)

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and TAO Group/TAO Cares is setting out to make a difference. Through the end of the month, go to any TAO Group restaurant or bar - ones in NYC include TAO Downtown, Magic Hour Rooftop, Legasea Seafood Brasserie, and more - order their #DRINKPINK cocktail and $1 from each drink is donated to American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. The pretty drink is made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Aperol, grapefruit, and lime. In addition, 10% from selected rosé and 10% from “pink” desserts will be donated as well. TAO Cares will match up to $45,000 made from the pink cocktail. So go grab a drink you can feel good about!

SIP ON REFINERY ROOFTOP’S NEW BOOZY PUMPKIN SPICE FROZEN LATTE (until 10/31)

Often times, when you heard “pumpkin spice,” it’s associated with a hot drink or warm dessert. Refinery Rooftop is going against that with the release of their Pumpkin Spice Frozen Latte. But that’s not all! The drink it made with vodka, Mr. Black espresso liqueur, Baileys, and homemade pumpkin spice syrup. We know, we’re freaking out too. The slushie-like drink is $17, and proceeds from each sold will be donated to Team Rubicon to benefit disaster response. Not only are you getting a buzz from a tasty drink, you’re also helping others. Sounds like a win-win to us! Grab one now through Halloween.

EXPERIENCE THE BRUNCH OF ALL BRUNCHES AT TORO LOCO (Saturdays and Sundays)

The geniuses at Toro Loco take brunch very seriously, and they’re stepping up their game. The Financial District spot is offering a Burlesque Brunch every Saturday though October, and Drag Queen Brunch party every Sunday through October. From 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (performances start at 3:30 p.m.), you’ll enjoy unlimited shared plates and cocktails for just $50 per person. Take it from someone who has been there before - you want to make time for Toro Loco in your weekend.

DO IT UP

GO APPLE AND PUMPKIN PICKING RIGHT HERE IN THE CITY

Arlo SoHo understands the importance of fall activities, especially apple and pumpkin picking. To compensate for the lack of, should we say, greenery in the city, they’ve created an autumn oasis - complete with hay bales! Arlo Orchards at the hotel is a charming pop-up where you can sip on apple cocktails, choose a pumpkin, and grab a bag of apples curated by Farm to People. Make sure you stop by on Thursdays from 4 to 7 p.m. to enjoy happy hour with discounted cocktails. Don’t miss this fall-filled fun!

DIVE INTO A HUGE MARSHMALLOW PIT AT CANDYTOPIA (until 11/15)

First it was in Los Angeles, and now it’s made its way to the East Coast. Candytopia is officially open in NYC! Just like many other pop-ups, this one has uniquely designed rooms - except this one is all about candy. If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll want to snag a ticket and enjoy the marshmallow pit and candy-filled rooms. Get a better idea of what it's all about in the video below!
