What Happens When You Wear a Waist Trainer for a Week

Name a reality TV star known for her hourglass shape, and chances are, she credits a waist trainer with keeping her slim (we’re looking at you, Kardashians).

As Yahoo Health has reported before, using a waist trainer isn’t exactly risk-free. And while you may see results, experts say they won’t be long-lasting: “The corset itself doesn’t have any direct effect on your fat or anatomy,” plastic surgeon Andrew Miller, MD, previously told Yahoo Health. “If you stopped wearing a corset, eventually you’re just going to return to the way you were.”
