Protest a better cause

Understanding the protests on all the college campuses is frustrating. Has everyone forgotten the holocaust and the annihilation of millions of Jewish people by the hands of Hitler and his henchmen? Do these privileged college students even know anything about the Holocaust? Do they even realize that they are giving support to Hamas a terrorist group? Hamas is an Islamic militant group that spun off from the Muslim Brotherhood in the late 1980s. Palestinians see Hamas as the party most capable of delivering violence effectively. I don’t understand why these privileged students feel compelled to support Hamas. Protesting for a cause is understandable. Why don’t they protest Hamas killing and kidnapping all those Jewish young people attending a music festival Oct. 7? Why not protest Hamas not releasing the remaining hostages? Now that would be a worthy cause. Do these privileged students know that if they lived in Gaza, Hamas would never allow them to speak so freely or even hold a protest? And why does the media feel compelled to cover these privileged students and their so-called cause defending their free speech? They are not helping but are giving Hamas more importance instead of focusing on the release of the remaining hostages.
