Thai government 'still functioning' despite martial law: army spokesman

BANGKOK (Reuters) - The Thai army's declaration of martial law on Tuesday has no impact on a caretaker government which is still in office, an army spokesman said. "This martial law is just to restore peace and stability. It has nothing to do with the government, the government is still functioning as normal," deputy army spokesman, Colonel Winthai Suvari, told Reuters.
