TGSO sheds light on Wall ISD faculty arrest
SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office has released an official statement regarding its arrest of a Wall Independent School District faculty member following an investigation into the electronic sexual solicitation of minors.
According to TGSO, the office was contacted by Wall ISD administrative personnel on March 20 about several underage female students receiving sexually explicit communications from an unknown individual. The unknown individual was utilizing TikTok and a texting app to send these messages.

The sheriff’s office launched a criminal investigation into the complaint. During the investigation, investigators learned that the individual communicated via sexually explicit language describing sexual conduct, attempted to solicit sexually explicit photographs from underage females and provided a pornographic photographic image to a female child younger than 15 years of age.
The suspect would be identified as 33-year-old Joshua Alexander Carroll of San Angelo. Carroll has been employed by Wall ISD as an assistant band director since January 2022.
On Tuesday, May 14, Carroll was arrested by TGSO investigators. A search warrant was conducted for electronic devices under his care at his residence and those located inside Wall High School.
Through this investigation, several underage students have been confirmed as having been targeted by this suspect. TGSO requests anyone who has information or believes their child to have been solicited by this individual to contact the Criminal Investigation Division of the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office at 325-655-8111.
