Texas Tech players are doing a great job at having fun with Talkin’ Season.

Wide receiver Dylan Cantrell pretended to be a media member and staged a few “interviews” with teammates and coaches. Here’s how it went.

Poor punter Dom Panazzolo. Cantrell pulls off the mistake of New Zealand and Australia so well that it genuinely seems like an interviewer screwup. At least Panazzolo handles it well, and doesn’t get too offended at the justification for the mixup.

Cantrell’s prank reminds us of former Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan’s teleconference moment. Ryan asked a question of New England WR Julian Edelman last season while posing as “Walt Patulski.”

During Big 12 media days in July, safety Jah’Shawn Johnson created a great bingo card that had a list of possible questions he’d be asked. Sure enough, most of the boxes got checked off.
