Texas Roadhouse raises over $56K in central Ohio tornado relief funds

COLUMBUS (WCMH) – A national restaurant chain raised over $56,000 during fundraising event Tuesday across the state to support central Ohio tornado victims.

Texas Roadhouse announced that several of its restaurant locations in Ohio and Indiana will host simultaneous fundraisers to benefit the Indian Lake Tornado Relief Fund. Each Texas Roadhouse location donated all profits received Tuesday to the organization, which supports families and individuals affected by the violent storms that swept across several central Ohio counties.

Massive damage from an EF-3 tornado in the Indian Lake area resulted in three deaths on March 14 and the National Weather Service confirmed eight tornadoes across Ohio. Among them were also an EF-2 tornado that traveled more than 10 miles in Crawford and Richland Counties, and two EF-1 tornadoes in Mercer and Licking Counties.
