A Texas woman accused of killing her 6-year-old son and dumping his body on a Maine roadside is set to make her first court appearance.
Julianne McCrery of Irving, Texas, is to appear in Concord District Court in Massachusetts on Thursday morning on a charge of being a fugitive from justice. She was captured Wednesday inside her pickup truck at a Massachusetts highway rest stop after police got a tip she was there.
Authorities say her son, Camden Hughes, was killed Saturday in New Hampshire. Prosecutors say preliminary autopsy results show the cause of Camden's death is asphyxiation.
The 42-year-old McCrery is charged in New Hampshire with second-degree murder. The voicemail was full for a phone listing for her.
