Texas man indicted for conspiring with Wisconsin resident to produce child porn

(WFRV) – A 44-year-old Texas man was indicted by a federal grand jury on Tuesday for conspiring with a Wisconsin resident to produce child pornography.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Bobby E. Matjeka, 44, of San Antonio, Texas, conspired to use a minor child “to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction.” Authorities say that depiction was then transported across state lines.

If convicted, Matjeka faces a mandatory 15 years in prison, with up to 30 years. He could also be fined up to $250,000 and would be required to register as a sex offender under state and federal law.

Matjeka was arrested by federal authorities in San Antonio on Wednesday, April 10, and will be arraigned before the federal district court in Green Bay.

This case was investigated by the Department of Homeland Security’s San Antonio and Milwaukee offices, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, the Appleton Police Department, and the San Antonio Police Department.
