Texas-based iced tea franchise HTeaO to open first Louisiana location in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — A new business specializing in icy drinks is coming to Lafayette, just in time to battle the heat of summer.

HTeaO, the nation’s leading iced tea franchise, will celebrate the grand opening of its newest location in Lafayette on Saturday, May 18. The new store will be located at 1606 Kaliste Saloom Road.

The Lafayette HTeaO is owned and operated by HTeaO franchisees Carlton Roussell, Kylie Roussell, Joanna Fontenot, John Fontenot and Judy Fontenot. This is the first location for the expanding iced tea franchise in the Lafayette area.

HTeaO offers a range of ultra-premium tea, water, and coffee products and caters to customers in-store and through drive-thru service. Each location boasts 26 flavors of sweetened and unsweetened tea, made using a proprietary water filtration system and 100% natural ingredients.

To celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, the first 250 customers will receive a free limited edition HTeaO Lafayette branded t-shirt. In addition, from noon to 3 p.m., guests can enjoy a free cup of tea, grab bites from food trucks and enjoy music from a live band.

In a news release, the franchisees said they carefully selected their Lafayette location. Situated on a busy corridor adjacent to the River Ranch shopping center and right across from a school, it’s easily accessible.

“At HTeaO, we’re all about fostering a sense of family and this event will allow us to do just that,” they said. “HTeaO has brought us together as friends and united us as a big family, and we can’t wait to share that same camaraderie with you.”

HTeaO will offer happy hour pricing throughout the weekend, from Thursday through Sunday, featuring half-priced cups of tea all day. From Thursday through to Saturday, May 25, guests can enjoy half-priced gallons of tea.

“Opening HTeaO in Lafayette marks our first location in Louisiana, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to bring our signature iced tea to the Bayou State,” HTeaO co-founder and CEO, Justin Howe said. “Lafayette is the epicenter of Cajun & Creole cuisine and we are excited to integrate ourselves into this culturally rich community. We look forward to serving our Lafayette neighbors and are dedicated to providing the highest quality of tea and warm hospitality at our newest location.”
