Texas Animal Sanctuary Heads to Wilmington to Help Florence Rescue Efforts

Rescuers from a Texas animal sanctuary hopped in an RV and headed for North Carolina on Monday, aiming to help out in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence. By Tuesday, September 18, they were nearing Wilmington.

These videos from the Shutt-er Down Ranch crew show water covering the road. In the second video, a local resident drove in front, creating a wake, so they could see the center line through deep water.

The ranch later posted that the team arrived safely in Wilmington and was accepting animals. Credit: Shutt’er Down Ranch via Storyful
