Texarkana Police looking for man in alleged shooting of ‘friend’

TEXARKANA, Texas (KETK) – The Texarkana Police Department is looking for a man who allegedly shot someone that considered him a ‘friend’ at their apartment.

According to Texarkana PD, at 8:25 p.m. on Tuesday night they responded to a call of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Allen Lane. Officials said that when they arrived on the scene they discovered a 22-year-old male who had suffered gunshot wounds to the arm and the hip.

Authorities said that the victim told them he was taking the trash out with his girlfriend when he was allegedly approached and shot by Reginald ‘Macho’ Sirls without warning. According to Texarkana PD Sirls ran away on foot while the victim’s girlfriend called 911. The victim told officers that he and Sirls were friends.

The victim was reportedly transferred to a hospital and his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Van PD identify man suspected of fleeing scene after driving into gas pump, sparking fire

Texarkana PD said that they have a warrant for the arrest of Sirls and are asking for information regarding his whereabouts.
