Tesla to introduce Model X in UK at the Goodwood festival of Speed

The upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed and Moving Motor Show will see the official unveiling of Model X in the UK. The four-day event will be held between 23 to June 26 and will allow visitors to book in advance for a test drive at future events. All three Model S trims and an AWD chassis will be showcased alongside the Tesla Model X.

Speaking about the upcoming Model X SUV, Tesla Motors claims that the vehicle offers uncompromising safety, size and speed. The top-spec model boasts about doing a 0-97kmph in just about 3.2 seconds and covers a distance of about 402 kms on a full charge. The SUV gets an electric All-Wheel Drive system for maximum efficiency and traction. In terms of safety, it comes loaded with side collision avoidance and automatic emergency braking, parking sensors, blind spot warning, power folding and heated side mirrors, four latch child seat adjustment and full LED headlamps.

The Moving Motor Show has been a part of Goodwood’s programme since 2010. The event will feature the Tesla stand on the main grid, which will be fully open for public viewing. The Moving Motor Show allows public access to the latest cars and a first-hand inspection of all Festival content.

To make things interesting for spectators, Tesla will showcase the Model X P90DL on the first day of the Moving Motor Show as part of the new Press and Preview Day. Apart from Tesla Motors, the event will also feature Formula 1 cars and other innovative electric vehicles. More details about the vehicle will be known during the upcoming event.
