Terrell Owens rips Jason Garrett, says he 'doesn't know how to make adjustments'

Like most of the teams he played for, Terrell Owens’ Friday night on Twitter started off promising before completely devolving into chaos.

It all began with an innocent tweet in which Owens answered a fan question by saying Andy Reid was the best coach he ever played for. When fans started asking about Owens’ other coaches, things started to go downhill.

The main target of Owens’ ire was current Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett. Garrett was the club’s offensive coordinator during Owens’ final two years with the team, and it doesn’t sound like Owens was a big fan.

That wasn’t all, either. When asked about the current Cowboys, Owens took yet another shot at Garrett.

Owens was highly productive in Dallas. During his first two seasons, he caught 166 balls for 2,535 yards and scored 28 touchdowns. His numbers dropped off a bit in his final season, which would have been Garrett’s second year as offensive coordinator.

That year, Owens caught just 66 balls for just over 1,000 yards receiving. He scored 10 touchdowns, which was somewhat of a disappointment for him at the time. Owens was released before the start of the 2009 season, which might explain why he’s not Garrett’s biggest fan.

If it’s any consolation to Garrett, at least he’s not Steve Mariucci.

In retrospect, we probably should have expected this type of fire from Owens by now. He did give new meaning to the phrase “get your popcorn ready,” we just didn’t think it would still apply years after he retired.
