Tens of thousands without power in St Joseph Tuesday; schools closed
SAINT JOSEPH, Mo. — Tens of thousands of residents in Saint Joseph, Missouri woke up without power Wednesday morning, causing the local school district to close for the day.
Evergy reported that around 29,000 customers in the St. Joe area lost power just before 4 a.m. Tuesday.

These numbers have continued to drop throughout the morning. However, the St. Joe school district said that, because of the outage, all classes were going to be canceled today.
There is still no word on the cause or an estimated time of when it will be fixed.
