Tennessee to wear gray uniforms to honor wildfire victims in Music City Bowl
Tennessee’s home-state bowl game will come with a tribute.
The Vols said Friday the team would wear its gray alternate uniforms in Nashville’s Music City Bowl vs. Nebraska on Dec. 30 to pay tribute to those who have died in wildfires in the Smoky Mountains.

14 people died in the fires that ravaged east Tennessee. More than 2,400 buildings in the Gatlinburg area have been damaged.
Two juveniles have been charged with aggravated arson for allegedly starting the fires on Nov. 23 as the fire spread quickly because of dry conditions and high winds in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Tennessee has worn the Smokey Greys as an alternate uniform since 2013.
