Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan's alma mater, Michigan, is in the College Football Playoff for the first time.

So was Cincinnati, the first Group of 5 school to make the playoff in the eight-year history of the format. The Bearcats were handled, 27-6, by Alabama in the Cotton Bowl CFP semifinal on Friday.

Lewan took note of the Bearcats' struggles, given their status as the first non-Power 5 school in the playoff.

"Cincinnati had to be the sacrificial Lamb for the non power 5 schools," Lewan tweeted about a half hour before his Wolverines' CFP semifinal against Georgia later Friday. "Now we know."

That observation was noted by his head coach, Mike Vrabel, who played at Ohio State and coached there for a couple seasons, who responded about an hour later, after Lewan's Wolverines quickly fell behind 14-0 to Georgia.

"Make that (two sacrificial lamb emojis)’s," Vrabel quote-tweeted in response.

Ohio State and Michigan's rivalry is not limited to frigid November afternoons in the Midwest. Stay tuned for more tweeting.
