Tennessee Volunteers defensive tackle Danny O’Brien is doing well enough to make the flight back home to Knoxville after a scary moment during the loss to Texas A&M. CBS sideline analyst Allie LaForce was the first to report the update.

O’Brien was involved in a helmet-to-helmet collision with Texas A&M running back Keith Ford at College Station today. He laid motionless on the field for several minutes with members of both teams taking a knee.

The senior tackle was strapped to a board and taken off the field on a cart. Officials associated with the team told CBS that he was moving all of his extremities but there was no more information on the injury.

The conference game between Tennessee and Texas A&M had a number of injuries that required stoppages in the game.

The Volunteers were already without star running back Jalen Hurd. They now face a tough test against the Alabama Crimson Tide next week and may not have Hurd or O’Brien on the field to help.
