Re: "Biden signs $95 billion Ukraine, Israel aid bill that includes TikTok sell-or-ban law," USA TODAY, April 24.

I am disappointed in the stubborn lack of leadership that is revealed time and time again by U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty, both Republicans representing Tennessee in Congress.

How in good faith can they vote against aid to Ukraine?

It is clear that they lack historical knowledge of the importance of NATO and the alliances the Unites States formed and agreed to following World War II.  (Editor's note: Ukraine is not a member of NATO).

The allegiance they show toward isolationism, pro-Putin aims and anti-immigration is not what is good for Americans.

Their combined actions endanger Tennesseans.  Blackburn and Hagerty kneel at the throne of the NRA, the Heritage Foundation and the anti-abortion groups looking to take away sensible, safe healthcare for all women.

Stand up and vote out these craven senators who do not protect Tennesseans.  We deserve better than these opportunistic politicians.

Make your voices heard. Please call their offices and demand better. In fact, we can take a stand and vote for Gloria Johnson and get Marsha Blackburn out of the Senate and back in Tennessee where she can stop harming us.

Senators were right to put America first

I am in agreement with Senators Blackburn and Hagerty on the aid to Ukraine.

American citizens are in need of aid and healthcare, but the government is sending billions to help out other countries while our citizens cannot afford groceries to feed their families.

Charity beings at home.
