Tenn. explosion that killed 1 under investigation

LEBANON, Tenn. (AP) — Federal investigators are returning to the scene of an explosion at a home in Middle Tennessee that killed one person.

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives spokesman Michael Knight says crews will begin processing the area of the blast Tuesday morning in an effort to determine its origin.

Knight said the blast Monday evening killed one person. An injured person was also found at the scene, but Knight said authorities are still trying to determine whether the injury was caused by the explosion.

Knight said authorities searched the property Monday night but found no other explosives. He says it appears to be an isolated incident.

He said investigators also will be interviewing neighbors and asks that anyone who's seen suspicious behavior in the area lately to call authorities.
