Ten things to do in central Arkansas this weekend (March 1-3)

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – This weekend in central Arkansas there is lots to do from outdoor festivals and shopping to concerts and comedians.

For those who like to be outdoors, this weekend is the kickoff of the 46th annual Wye Mountain Daffodil Festival at Wye Mountain Community Church in Bigelow. This outdoor festival always takes place the first two weeks of March. There will be 7 acres with over 80 varieties of daffodils, arts n’ crafts, food vendors, music, a tour of the church and more.

Also happening all weekend is Vintage Market Days of Little Rock at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds. There will be a vintage-inspired market featuring art, antiques, clothes, jewelry, food, plants and much more from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday and it closes at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Friday, the Little Rock Zoo celebrates National Pig Day 2024. The celebration features a pig-themed exploration station near the Red River Hog exhibit with interactive activities, keeper chats at two exhibits and more.

On Friday night, Revolution Music Room will be hosting Lucero. The Memphis/Little Rock-based rock band will be bringing their current tour to the Capital City with opener Boy Golden. Tickets are $40 and doors open at 7 p.m.

Happening Saturday night is Winter Jam 2024 at Simmons Bank Arena. One of the biggest tours in Christian music returns with Crowder, Lecrae, Cain, Katy Nichole, Seventh Day Slumber and Newsong. Doors open at 4:55 p.m. and tickets are $15 at the door.

Saturday night Little Rock also hosts The Legends Tour with Gospel icons Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Sapp and Hezekiah Walker. The concert happens at Second Baptist Church at 6 p.m. and tickets are $60.

Another concert happening in the Capital City Saturday night is Monsters of Todd 9 at Revolution Music Room. The event, a benefit for CARTI Cancer Centers of Arkansas, features local talent Cliff & Susan and Midnight South as well as Moonshine Mafia, She Hates Me Not and Dime Store Riot. Doors are at 6 p.m. and tickets are $15 at the door.

On Sunday, Hot Springs hosts the 7th annual Arkansas Cherry Blossom Festival, which is also happening in tandem with the 4th Annual American Craft Sake Festival. Another event part of the festivities is Sumo! Sumo! Sumo! Arkansas’s first sumo wrestling exhibit.

Road closures set for Little Rock Marathon weekend

Sunday night in Little Rock, comedian Jessica Kirson brings her 2024 tour to The Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets start at $27.50.

Another comedian performing Sunday night is Brian Regan. His 2024 On The Rocks tour comes to Conway’s Reynolds Performance Hall. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
