Temps dip into 30s overnight ahead of warmer Tuesday

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — The chilly spring air remains in place tonight… so much so, that a Frost Advisory has been issued for parts of the region. Burke and Caldwell counties—protect any sensitive outside plants before bed tonight! Other communities could see some patchy frost, mainly outside of Charlotte, as temps fall into the mid to upper 30s under a clear sky.

However, Tuesday afternoon will feel much more like late April! As the wind shifts out of the warmer southwesterly direction with more sunshine, highs will reach the low and mid-70s. Temperatures will be around normal for the rest of the week—highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. Not bad!

What about rain? The next front could bring some scattered showers Wednesday morning, but the afternoon is looking drier. Minor rain and storm chances return Friday through the weekend.

Tonight: Mostly clear and chilly. Low 40.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny and warmer. High 73.
