Iconic television psychic Miss Cleo, real name Youree Harris, has lost her battle with metastatic colon cancer in a Palm Beach County, Fla. hospital. She was 53 years old.

Iconic television psychic Miss Cleo, real name Youree Harris, has lost her battle with metastatic colon cancer in a Palm Beach County, Fla., hospital. She was 53 years old.

According to TMZ, Harris had been admitted to hospice shortly after a recent hospitalization. The cancer had spread from her colon to her liver and lungs.

“The rep said Cleo remained a ‘pillar of strength’ during her illness … and died surrounded by family and friends,” writes the site.

In the 1990s, Harris’ Jamaican alter ego Miss Cleo became a late-night infomercial sensation, as she urged callers who rang her up on the Psychic Readers Network to “call me now” because “you can’t fool Miss Cleo!”
