Teen stabbed in Times Square; 7 people in custody: police

TIMES SQUARE, Manhattan (PIX11) – A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in Times Square Thursday evening, police said.

The stabbing happened in front of 251 West 42nd St. around 5:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.

The teen was stabbed in his lower back, police said. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, authorities said.

Seven people have been taken into custody, according to police.
