Windsor police say a 16-year-old boy is in stable condition with serious injuries after being stabbed with a knife multiple times late Saturday night at a park in the city's downtown.

Authorities say it happened around 11:30 p.m. at Bruce Avenue Park, after what they're calling a "verbal dispute" between the victim and an unknown man.

"The individual then pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene in a white vehicle," police said in a statement.
