RIVERVIEW, Mo. — St. Louis County Police are investigating a shooting Sunday that left one teen dead and injured three others. The incident happened in the 10000 block of Toelle Lane at around 10 p.m. The victims are between 15 and 17-years-old.

Police found four boys suffering from gunshot wounds when they arrived. Three of them were transported to the hospital, with one suffering from life-threatening injuries.

15-year-old Corian Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The suspect is reported to have fled the scene.

Investigators have not yet shared the circumstances surrounding the shooting. They have also not posted any information about potential suspects.

Residents near the area say they heard at least 30 gunshots, leaving them with more questions than answers.

“I heard the shots fired last night. I was hoping it was just someone shooting in the air. Unfortunately, it was violence behind that,” Jamal Foster said.

Charges filed in case of intruder shot by homeowner

The Riverview mayor says that it is a group effort to combat the problems.

“It’s a time for everybody to come together to understand that this is not a problem with one household but is a problem within the entire community,” Riverview Mayor Mike Cornell said. “They say it takes a village to raise a child, and it takes a community to come together to make a difference.”

The City of Riverview Police initially responded but handed the investigation over to the St. Louis County Police Bureau of Crimes Against Persons. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are asking the public for tips
