Teen injured after shooting in Washington Park overnight: CPD

CHICAGO — A 17-year-old boy is injured after a shooting in Chicago’s Washington Park neighborhood overnight, police said.

According to police, the boy was walking on the sidewalk near the 5800 block of South Prairie Avenue around at 12:35 a.m. when an unknown man fired shots at him and fled the scene.

The victim sustained a graze wound to the neck and was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.

There is currently no one in custody.
