Teen’s GPS bracelet allegedly connects him to many major business burglaries

ST. LOUIS — An 18-year-old has been charged with burglarizing some of St. Louis’ popular businesses earlier this month. Leslie James III is facing nearly two dozen counts of burglary, stealing, and property damage.

A probable cause statement says James was wearing a GPS bracelet that tracked him to all of the businesses, including Big Daddy’s in Soulard, 1860 Sallon, Molly’s, Bogart’s, and The Donut Drive-In on April 10th. He was allegedly driving a stolen Hyundai Elantra to get to each location.

Two other suspects have not been charged. James is being held on no bond.
