Teen Couple’s Duct Tape Prom Outfits Win $20,000
We’re major fans of all-purpose duct tape (a handy gray roll has saved lives in space for pete’s sake), so when the sticky stuff started appearing in a rainbow array of colors, our crafty brains went wild. We’ve since used many a roll to create tote bags, iPhone cases, even hammocks – but our hats are off to this crafty couple who used 39 rolls of it to create their prom outfits. What’s more, this is some seriously stylish formal wear!
The teens, Mia Rickenbach and Chandler Derbyshire of Virginia, were rewarded for their efforts to the tune of $10,000 each from Duck Brand’s Stuck at Prom scholarship contest, which just named them their 2015 grand prize winners. Just take a look at how fashionable these two made duct tape. It’s seriously impressive.
