If you thought all sexist dress codes were created equal, hold on to your leggings, because this is without a doubt the most insane story yet.

Summer, an honor roll senior at Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg, NC, wore this outfit to school and Principal Michelle Cline asked her to put on a jacket.

Summer borrowed a jacket from a friend, but apparently, doing as she was told wasn't good enough. Even though she had zipped up the jacket to cover up the shirt completely, the principal still wasn't happy.

Cline returned and told her to go to the office, but because the principal has had issues with Summer in the past, Summer isn't allowed to be alone with the her without notifying her mother first.

"[The security guard] was within five feet of me, he had his hand on his gun. [The principal] said 'I'm gonna give you an ultimatum. We have tried to call your mother. You either come with me to the control room to change your shirt or we will arrest you'," Summer told WCNC News.

Summer's mom eventually called back and Summer went willingly with the principal, but it was too late. Regardless of her 4.4 GPA, Cline suspended her for two weeks and told Summer she couldn't walk at graduation.

"It's just sad because I worked so hard for four years to walk across that stage," she said in an interview. "We have drug dealers walking across that stage, we have sex offenders walking across that stage and then the 4.4 student who showed her shoulders can't."

To make matters worse, Summer's full-ride scholarship for her pre-med program might be at risk because of it.

"A full ride means so much and that is on the line right now," she said.

Summer isn't the only girl who has gotten an outrageous punishment for the fabric she put on her body. According to WCNC News, 45 girls were sent to the principal's office at Hickory Ridge High School last year for wearing leggings. I wonder if they'll get to walk?

Principal Cline could not be reached for comment at the time this story was published.
