Despite losing one game to Clovis East last week, Clovis High remains The Fresno Bee’s top-ranked team in the latest rankings.
The Cougars rebounded after the 5-4 loss to the Timberwolves to finish the series with a 6-2 victory. Clovis took 2 of 3 from Clovis East.
Clovis faces its next test starting today at No. 8 Clovis West. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
Both teams are tied atop the Tri-River Athletic Conference at 8-1.
Bullard moves into the top 10, coming in at No. 9.
The Knights are 11-0 in the County/Metro Athletic Conference and will host Edison at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Sierra Pacific enters The Bee’s poll, checking at No. 22 after defeating Central Valley Christian in a two-game series.
Sanger West dropped out of the rankings after losing twice to No. 20 Fresno.
On the softball side, not much has changed.
St. Joseph remains The Bee’s top-ranked team.
The top five teams consist of St. Joseph, Centennial, Bakersfield Christian, Central and Clovis North.
The Grizzlies and Broncos are leading the TRAC at 5-1 with four games remaining.
No. 10 Bullard leads the CMAC at 6-0. The Knights will play No. 12 Sanger on Friday.
Clovis West dropped out of the rankings and replaced by No. 25 Lompoc.
