TDOT truck hits Clarksville paint store after multi-vehicle crash

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A multi-vehicle accident in Clarksville Tuesday reportedly resulted in a TDOT truck crashing into a local paint store.

The crash happened around 1:44 p.m. on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and Rossview Road, according to the Clarksville Police Department.

During the incident, authorities said a TDOT truck veered off the roadway and hit PPG Paints on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. No one inside the paint store was injured, police reported.

Two of the drivers involved in the crash were taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries. Officials said their injuries appear to be “non-life threatening.” Police have not yet said what caused the crash.

The southbound lanes of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard were shut down for about two hours as police worked to clear the scene. As of 3:50 p.m., authorities said the roadway was back open.

No other information was immediately released.
