TBI still investigating 6 AMBER Alerts in TN

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Agencies across Tennessee have been working tirelessly to find missing Sumner County teen Sebastian Rogers, but Sebastian isn’t the only missing child authorities are looking for right now.

In total, there are six active AMBER alerts for children in the state; half of those are connected to Middle Tennessee.

While Sebastian is the most recent, there are other cases that date back more than a decade.
They include Kennedy Hoyle, Chloie Leverett, Gage Daniel, Zaylee Grace Fryar, and Summer Wells.

While authorities continue their search for these kids, advocacy groups have also sprung up to help in the efforts nationwide. This includes the Light The Way Missing Persons Advocacy Project. The organization serves families from coast to coast with loved ones who still have not been found in making sure that their message is still circulating.

“As life moves on for everyone else, it doesn’t move on for them. They’re stuck in this grey zone, the day that changed their lives forever…Our organization really tries to do that by making sure that these stories are still out there, whether that be connecting with media on important dates, like birthdays, or the yearly missing date,” said Shayna Richard, co-founder of the Light The Way Missing Persons Advocacy Project.
