Taylor Swift is returning with a new album, The Tortured Poets Department, which is being released on Friday, 19 April.

The singer's latest release will of course be available on all major streamers, and on vinyl and CD, sure you could listen to it in the comfort of your own home but some listeners might want to celebrate with other fans. Luckily for those Swifties, there are celebrations set to take place in the UK.

The Tortured Poets Department is Swift's 11th studio album – not including her four re-recorded albums – and the star has been sharing clues for fans about the songs that are dropping on Friday. There are 16 songs set to be released on the album, which will have Swifties analysing the music for weeks to come.

Before Swifties get to work, though, there are listening parties that they can attend in London and Manchester to enjoy the music for the first time. Here is everything you need to know.

For those desperate to celebrate The Tortured Poets Department on the day of the release in London, Swiftogeddon has you covered. The club night dedicated to Taylor Swift is set to take over the Clapham Grand from 11pm where fans can enjoy the new tracks as well as listen to some golden oldies too.

Meanwhile, in Manchester the Fairfield Social Club is hosting a listening party for the album in full on Friday evening, with the event taking place from 7pm to 10pm. As well as enjoying Swift's new music, fans will be able to take part in a quiz themed around the singer, while they will receive a friendship bracelet when they arrive and can enjoy food and drink there too. For just £6 it seems like a steal.

There will also be celebrations dedicated to the singer later in the week too, with Waterstones in Gower Street, London, hosting a Swiftie Saturday event to mark the album's release on Saturday, 20 April. As well as listening to the album, attendees can enjoy an in-depth discussion about the music whilst making friendship bracelets.

On the same day, Club de Fromage will also be hosting an album launch party at the O2 Academy Islington on Saturday, 20 April as well. The event will see The Tortured Poets Department be played in full with sing-a-longs also in place for those fans who have already memorised the lyrics.

For those who are busy this weekend never fear, because there will also be an album release party held on Friday, 26 April at Big Chill Bar in King's Cross. Fans who attend the event will similarly get to listen to Swift's new album in full with fellow fans, and afterwards there will be a club night celebrating the singer in all her glory.
