Taylor Swift concert tickets for MetLife Stadium on sale, but demand is 'high'

Tickets are on sale today for Taylor Swift at MetLife Stadium, but you have to be a Verified Fan to get them.
Fans who registered as Swift Verified Fans for the November onsale were able to purchase resale tickets Tuesday, May 16, for Swift's three MetLife shows: May 26, 27 and 28, on Ticketmaster.
“This Sale is for Verified Fans,” states a Ticketmaster prompt.
A 2:20 p.m. message to customers stated that demand was "high" on Tuesday.
"Due to high demand for today’s sale, ticket availability is extremely limited," Ticketmaster said. "As you continue to shop some options may be unavailable. If you are unable to find tickets today, we recommend checking back frequently as additional tickets may become available."
Similar sales in other markets have taken place about 10 days before the shows. No formal announcement of the onsales have been made except for text messages to Verified Fans.
A request for comment from Ticketmaster on the sales was not replied to as of press time.
“Does anyone have ONE ticket to metlife 5/28? I will sell my left kidney PLEASE,” commented a fan on Twitter Tuesday.
In November, Ticketmaster announced it was canceling a Swift general public onsale because of the huge demand for tickets. Ticket prices were $49 to $449 before fees, and higher for VIP packages.
“Due to extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand, tomorrow's public on-sale for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour has been canceled,” said the company.
The initial presale was supposed to be open to 1.5 million verified fans, but 14 million people and bots jumped in, said Live Nation Chairman Greg Maffei on CNBC.

Washington, D.C. took notice.
“Daily reminder that Ticketmaster is a monopoly, it's merger with LiveNation should never have been approved,” tweeted U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.
The Senate Judiciary Committee's anti-trust subcommittee held a hearing in January to question if Live Nation Entertainment, the owner of Ticketmaster, needed to be broken up.
As for the tour, it just wrapped up three nights at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, and now plays three nights, May 19, 20 and 21, at Foxborough, Massachusetts, before coming to East Rutherford.
