Taylor Swift among early CMA Awards nominees

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton and newcomer Kacey Musgraves are among the early lead nominees for the Country Music Association Awards.

Sheryl Crow and Florida Georgia Line announced five of 12 categories Tuesday morning on "Good Morning America." Previous winners Swift and Shelton are nominated for top honor entertainer of the year, along with Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and surprise nominee George Strait.

Swift, Aldean, Shelton and Bryan are nominated in the respective male and female vocalist of the year categories. Musgraves picked up nominations for female vocalist and new artist of the year, where she was joined by Florida Georgia Line.

The rest of the nominations will be announced later Tuesday. The awards will be held Nov. 6.
