Taylor Swift debuted the world premiere music video for her hit song, “22,” today exclusively on “Good Morning America.”
“22” is the fourth single from her chart-topping album, “Red” which has sold over 5 million copies since its October 2012 release, and all of Swift’s singles have reached No. 1.
For Swift, who has racked up 13 No. 1 singles so far in her career, releasing the video on March 13 is no coincidence, she said in a special message to fans.
“Since 13 is my lucky number, today also seems like the perfect day to release my brand new video for a song called ’22,’” she said on “GMA.” “We shot this video last month in Malibu. I never had this much fun shooting a video because my friends in the video are actually my real-life best friends.”
Swift also kicks off her highly-anticipated world tour today with sold-out shows in Omaha, Neb., and stops in 47 cities in 29 states.
“I can’t wait for you guys to see this show,” she said on “GMA.” “I can’t wait to see you on the road.”
The now 23-year-old singer was just named the Recording Industry of America’s top-selling Digital Singles Artist with 39.5 million singles to date. The singer/songwriter is also nominated for five Academy of Country Music Awards, including Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, and Album of the Year.
